"Illusion Passion"
Sat 11th April, we went to Casino Ruhl, Nice for the cabaret and dinner:

This was an example of the value of keeping informed; I saw in Nice-Matin that there was a special offer, with the N-M coupon, of two tickets for the price of one. At 65 euros for a three course meal, a bottle of wine and a very professional, entertaining show it would have been good value - at 65 for two it was a real bargain.
M, having dismissed the idea because she "knew" that it was just scantily-clad women dancing around, accepted the idea when the woman on the desk confirmed that it was a show with illusions. On the night she was pleased with the show and delighted with our table.
The show was a mix of clever illusions, a very good singer and dancers in varied choreography with excellent lighting. But on top of that we were given one of the best tables (to ourselves) in the room, on the left and right in front of the stage:
In fact I felt rather sorry for the dancers, they had to stand on the stairs, smiling and greeting us as we queued to get in. Then they were waitresses - and one waiter (who later did a very good classical ballet dance) during the dinner, and finally performed in the cabaret - but they did it all very well. I think their smile muscles must have been a bit tired by the end.
The singing "chef":
We were told photography was prohibited, so I just snatched one quickly at the finale:
A very nice night.
